Android Update

We are rolling out Habitify v34.0 for Android! This update is a massive leap forward for organization. We have rebuilt the management tools to be faster and more flexible, allowing you to clean up your dashboard in seconds and organize your life exactly how you want.
Here is what’s new on your Android device:
Cleaning up your habit list used to take time. Now, it takes seconds.
Select Multiple or All: You can now enter selection mode to pick multiple habits—or tap "Select All"—to perform actions in bulk.
Batch Control: Archive, Unarchive, or Delete dozens of habits at once. Whether you are starting fresh or decluttering an old list, you can now do it with just a few taps.

We have completely reimagined how Areas work. No more jumping between screens to move habits around.
All-in-One Editing: When you edit an Area, you can now change its Name, Icon, and manage its Included/Excluded habits all on a single screen.
Multi-Area Support: Habits are no longer restricted to just one list. A habit can now belong to multiple areas at once! (e.g., "Running" can be in your "Health" area AND your "Morning Routine" area).
Direct Management: Add or remove habits from an Area instantly using the new selection interface.

With Habitify supporting multiple integrations (Health Connect, Google Fit, etc.), the generic "Heart" icon wasn't enough.
Visual Clarity: We have replaced the generic heart icon on synced habits with the specific app icon of the data source.
At a Glance: You can now instantly tell if a habit is syncing from Google Fit, Health Connect, or other sources directly from your journal view.

Visit the Google Play Store to get the latest version and organize your life with ease.

Here is what’s new:
We have rebuilt our API to be more secure and feature-rich.
Enhanced Security: You can now generate specific API Keys on demand, replacing the old permanent legacy keys. This gives you better control and security over your data connections.
Full Feature Support: The new API now supports all our latest advanced features. You can now sync and manage End Conditions, Habit Stacking, New Areas, and even Rich Notes (including images and mood logs) via the API.
See the complete Habitify API V2 Documentation.
For those aiming for massive numbers, we have removed the ceiling. Previously, goal limits were static. Now, they scale dynamically based on your frequency.
Weekly Goals: Max value is now x7 the daily limit.
Monthly Goals: Max value is now x30 the daily limit.
Yearly Goals: Max value is now x365 the daily limit.
Whether you are tracking 100,000 steps a week or 500 hours a year, the app can now handle any number you aim for.
With Habitify supporting more integrations than ever (Apple Health, Strava, Fitbit, RescueTime), the generic "Heart" icon wasn't enough.
Know Your Source: We have replaced the generic heart icon on synced habits with the specific app icon of the data source.
At a glance, you can now instantly tell if a habit is syncing from Strava, Fitbit, or Apple Health, making your dashboard much easier to manage.

We know that how your habits are ordered throughout the day matters. You can now fully customize the order of your habits within specific times of the day (Morning, Afternoon, Evening).
In the settings of each time of day, simply drag and drop the included habits to arrange them exactly how you plan to tackle them.

iPad Multitasking: Fixed a crash that occurred when resizing the app window on iPad (Split View/Stage Manager).
Medication Sync: Fixed an issue where "Medication" completion status was not syncing correctly from Apple Health.
Future Logging: Fixed a crash that happened when attempting to log values for a habit scheduled in the future.

Alongside our app updates, we have rolled out a significant upgrade to the Community Challenge system. We’ve modernized the look of the Lobby and completely rebuilt the "Create a Challenge" flow to make hosting easier than ever.
Here is what’s new:
We have simplified the setup process so you can launch your challenge faster and with fewer errors.
Smart Activity Selection: We’ve improved how you define the challenge goal. Instead of searching through a long list of activities for each logging method, you now start by choosing the Logging Methods you want to allow (e.g., Manual, Apple Health, Fitbit, or Strava). Habitify will then automatically filter and display the list of activities that are eligible for the methods you selected.

Smart Duration: No more calendar math. When you select a duration (e.g., "30 Days"), Habitify instantly calculates and displays the exact End Date for you.
Simplified Skips: We’ve removed the confusing labels like "No More Than." Now, you simply set an exact number of allowed skips. It’s clearer for you to set, and clearer for your members to understand.

We have removed the friction of switching tabs to update your score. You no longer need to leave the Challenge screen to record your data. You can now log your progress directly within the Challenge interface.
Update your stats and watch your rank shift instantly, all without ever switching back to the Journal view.

Modern Challenge Lobby: We’ve refreshed the design of the Lobby inside each challenge. Whether you are the host managing the group or a member checking updates, the internal dashboard now offers a cleaner, more seamless experience.
More Personalized Notifications: You can now see who is interacting with you at a glance. We’ve added User Avatars to push notifications, so whether it’s a comment or a leaderboard update, you’ll know exactly who it is instantly.
Update to the latest version to enjoy these new features and start building better habits together.

iOS Update

We are back with a major update for our iOS community! Habitify v33.0 is all about precision and control. As your list of habits grows, we know that organizing them is just as important as checking them off.
Here is what’s new on your iPhone today:
We’ve revamped the Log Progress screen to save you the mental math. Previously, you could only add to your current total. Now, you have two distinct modes to track your way:
➕ Add Mode: Perfect for cumulative tracking. Did you just run an extra 5km? Select "Add" to top up your progress.
🎯 Set Mode: Perfect for absolute updates. Check your pedometer and see you're at 8,000 steps total? Select "Set" and type 8,000. We’ll automatically calculate the difference to update your bar correctly.
❤️ Now Syncs with Apple Health With this upgrade, manual logs in Habitify now write back to Apple Health! If you log a run or water intake in Habitify, it will now update your Apple Health data, ensuring both apps stay perfectly in sync.

We have completely redesigned the Manage Habits screen to be more robust.
Unified Sorting: We’ve fixed the logic for custom sorting. You can now drag and drop all your habits to your preferred order—including habits linked to Challenges.
Smoother Editing: The entire list feels more responsive, making it easier to prune old habits or prioritize new ones.
Import Note regarding the Challenge-Linked Habits: To preserve the integrity of your leaderboards, habits linked to active Challenges are now "locked." You can reorder them, but they cannot be Archived or Deleted until the Challenge ends or you choose to leave the Challenge.

For those who organize their life into buckets (like Health, Work, or Art), the Settings > All Areas screen is now much more powerful.
Total Sorting Control: We’ve squashed the bugs affecting custom Area ordering. You can now drag and drop your Areas, and they will strictly follow the order you set.
Deep Editing: You can now tap directly on any Area to open a detail view. From there, you can edit the Area's info and—most importantly—manage exactly which habits are included or excluded in one simple list.

Managing your daily flow just got easier in Settings > Time of Days.
Direct Management: We’ve added the ability to directly manage the contents of your Morning, Afternoon, or Evening lists.
Easy Toggles: Simply tap on a Time of Day to see everything scheduled for that period. You can add or remove habits from that specific time block instantly, without having to navigate back to individual habit settings.
Small Note: Every habit must belong to at least one Time of Day. This ensures no habit ever gets "lost" from your daily view.

This update is dedicated to the organizers and the planners—the users who want their dashboard to look exactly right. We hope these fixes give you the peace of mind that everything is in its place.

Android Update

We’re kicking off a fresh update for our Android community with Version 32.0! Our goal for this release was simple: remove friction. Whether you are setting up a complex schedule or logging your progress, everything in Habitify should feel intuitive and seamless.
Here is how we are making your habit-building journey better today:
We have updated our interface to adopt the modern design language recommended by Google.
You will notice the app now runs Edge-to-Edge. This means Habitify utilizes your entire display, drawing content behind the navigation and status bars.
It gives the app a synchronized, native feel that fits perfectly with the latest Android standards, making your dashboard look cleaner than ever.
We have completely revamped the Repetition Settings to take the guesswork out of your routine. The new design clearly separates your options into Weekly, Interval, and Monthly modes. Especially:
No more mental math: When you choose an interval (like "Every 3 days"), the app now instantly generates a list of Upcoming Dates (e.g., Today, Thursday, Monday) so you know exactly when your next sessions land.
Visual Clarity: Whether you are selecting specific weekdays or picking dates on a monthly calendar grid, the new layout makes it impossible to set the wrong schedule.

You asked, and we listened. Previously, once you completed a habit, it would move to the "Completed" list with a simple checkmark icon—and that was it. But we know many of you don't stop there.
The New "Log" Button: Now, even after a habit is marked complete, a "Log" Smart Button remains available.
Capture Every Effort: Did you drink an extra glass of water or read another chapter after hitting your goal? You can now tap "Log" to record those extra stats instantly, without having to reopen the habit details.

We know that breaking a streak can be demotivating, so we’ve added a helpful "check-in" before you mark a habit as Skipped or Failed.
Encouraging Consistency: If you attempt to skip a habit, Habitify will now remind you that "consistency matters more than perfection" and suggest logging a smaller effort just to keep your streak alive.
Preventing Accidental Resets: Before marking a habit as failed, you will see a clear warning that this action will reset your streak to zero, ensuring you don't lose your hard work by accident.
Add Context: Both screens now include an optional text field to enter a note, so you can record why you skipped or failed that day for future reflection.

For those who like to go the extra mile, we’ve reduced the friction.
We added a new "+" button directly on the Journal view for habits you have already completed. Now, logging extra progress over your daily goal takes just a single tap—no need to open the details screen.
You can now use Habitify in your preferred language, independent of your phone’s system settings.
Go to Settings > System > Languages & input > App Languages > Habitify (or simply Settings > Habitify depending on your device).
Note: This feature requires Android 13 or later.
This update was built entirely around your feedback. Whether you are maintaining a 100-day streak or just starting Day 1, we are so grateful you chose Habitify to be part of your journey.

Building habits is always better together. That’s why we built Challenges—to help you find your tribe and push your limits. Today, we are releasing an update designed to make your Challenge experience smoother, clearer, and more connected.
Here is what’s new for Challenges in Habitify:
Not all habits are created equal, and neither are Challenges. We’ve introduced a Scoring & Difficulty system that lets you define the stakes. High penalties make the challenge more intense, while lower ones keep it encouraging for beginners.
You can now choose from three distinct modes:
🍃 Friendly: Perfect for building consistency without stress. There are no penalties for mistakes—just focus on showing up.
⚔️ Competitive: A fair fight for those who want a nudge. A small penalty (-50 points) keeps you on your toes if you miss a day.
🔥 Hardcore: High risk, high reward. One miss wipes out 1.5 days of progress (-150 points). Only choose this if you are ready to play for keeps!

Healthy competition requires transparency. We’ve improved how you view your fellow challengers.
Tap to Peek: You can now tap on any member within the Challenge list.
See the Journey: Tapping reveals their specific progress details for that challenge. See exactly how they are maintaining their streak or how many reps they’ve logged. It’s perfect for verifying the leaderboard or getting inspired by the top performers!

We’ve removed the friction between you and your squad.
Tap and Go: Previously, tapping a Challenge notification just opened the app, leaving you to navigate to the right screen. Now, tapping a push notification from a Challenge will deep link you directly to that specific Challenge page.
Never Miss a Beat: Whether it’s a leaderboard update or a new chat message, you can jump straight into the action in seconds.
Head over to the Community Tab to explore new challenges. Will you play it Friendly or go full Hardcore? The choice is yours.

iOS Update

We are rolling out Habitify v32.0 for iOS today! This update focuses on two things: protecting your progress and keeping your dashboard organized. We’ve refined the logic behind habit tracking and squashed some pesky bugs to make your experience smoother than ever.
Here is what’s new on your iPhone and iPad:
Consistency isn't just about marking things "Done." It is also about how you handle the off days. We’ve introduced a new Mindful Check-in system that activates whenever you attempt to Skip or Fail a habit.

Intentional Skips: If you try to skip a habit, the app now gently reminds you that "consistency matters more than perfection." It’s a soft nudge to encourage you to log something—even a small amount—rather than skipping entirely.
No Accidental Fails: Marking a habit as "Failed" is permanent. We added a confirmation screen to ensure you don't do this by mistake, saving your streak from accidental taps.
Add Notes: For both actions, you can now add a quick Note right in the popup. Whether you were sick or traveling, recording the why helps you understand your patterns later.
We have squashed the bugs in sorting habits by “My Habit Order” to give you full control over your list. You can drag and drop your habits to any order you like, and they will actually stay there.
We hope these fixes and improvements give you the peace of mind that everything is in its place.
