Habit Settings: Weighting scores for habits (not all habits are equal)
I want to assign a number value to every habit. Read My Bible or Lift Weights are more important to me than floss my teeth.
I want a total to show and an actual and a percentage completed. Now that data is incredibly valuable and I can see an improvement in the things that matter most to me.
I can’t find this feature anywhere!!!

Habit Weighting & Priority Levels
Overview
Introduce a Priority or Weighting system for individual habits within an Area. Right now, every habit counts equally toward the daily score and overall progress, meaning missing a high-impact core habit impacts your stats the exact same way as missing a minor secondary habit.
How It Works
Weight Tiers: When setting up or editing a habit, users can assign a priority tier (e.g., Low, Medium, High) to explicitly designate its importance.
Visible Color Markers: A clear color-coded dot or marker appears on the right side of the habit list (e.g., a red dot for high priority), so users instantly know a habit's importance at a glance without opening its settings.
Impact on Progress Score: The area's daily success rate and trendline calculation dynamically factor in these weights. Missing a High priority habit drags down the score more than skipping a Low priority one.
Why This Is Useful
When tracking many habits, your daily score can feel discouragingly low or inaccurate if you complete all your critical goals but miss a couple of minor ones.
Accurate Reflection of Success: It mirrors real life—some actions move the needle massively, while others are just maintenance.
Instant Recognition: Color markers on the right side of the list let you scan your daily routine and spot your core, non-negotiable anchor habits immediately.
Better Focus: Helps power users distinguish between vital goals and nice-to-have supplementary routines without unfairly inflating or deflating their overall analytics.

Hi Yafkiller — thanks for writing this up so clearly. We’re already tracking habit weighting / priority (not all habits counting equally toward the score) here: Habit Settings: Weighting scores for habits.
We’ve closed this duplicate so votes stay in one place. Please upvote that thread — your color-marker idea is a useful extra, feel free to add it there.

Progress: Weighted Habit Completion Percentage
The overall completion percentage should support habit weightage, instead of treating every habit as having the same impact on the daily progress score.
Currently, completing a small habit and completing a major habit would contribute equally to the overall percentage. It would be more meaningful if each habit could have a weight that represents its importance or impact.
For example:
Learning / Study → High weight
Exercise → Medium-high weight
Reading → Medium weight
Foot care → Low weight
The overall progress percentage should then be calculated based on these weights.
For example, if I have:
HabitWeightCompleted
Learning
50
✅
Exercise
30
❌
Foot care
5
✅
The completion percentage should reflect the weighted contribution, rather than simply calculating
2 / 3 = 66.7%.Expected behavior
Each habit should have a configurable weight/importance value.
The overall daily, weekly, and monthly completion percentages should use these weights when calculating progress.
This would make the progress meter much more representative of how well I actually completed my important habits, rather than treating every habit as equally significant.

Hello!
Thank you so much for sharing with us your suggestion for the improvement of Habitify.
As I understand, the idea is that you have 100 scores for the completion of all habits of the day, and you assign a specific score for each habit, like completing “Read My Bible” habit can contribute 50/100 score, and “Lift Weights” habit can contribute 30/100 score, right?
This concept might overlay the concept of completion rate that we have now, so we may need more time to consider it. Still, we highly appreciate your suggestion.
For now, you may want to try using our Area feature. You can create some areas to categorized your habits by priority like area “High Priority” for the habits “Read My Bible” and “Lift Weights”. You can read more about Area here:
