Habitify MCP: Ability create and manage habits in a custom area

I would like better ChatGPT integration for creating and organizing habits.

Right now, I want to use ChatGPT to help manage larger systems inside Habitify, such as reading lists, habit areas, optional goals and grouped routines. It would be helpful if ChatGPT could create Areas and add multiple habits or tasks with fewer restrictions.

For example, I should be able to say:

“Create an Area called My Library and add these books as habits.” This would make Habitify much more useful for planning, organizing and maintaining larger personal systems without having to manually enter everything one item at a time.

This would be especially useful for:

  • Creating Areas

  • Adding multiple habits at once

  • Managing reading lists or learning libraries

  • Updating optional or archived habit groups

  • Reorganizing existing habits more efficiently

Habitify MCP: allow creating and editing habits, not just logging them

The MCP server can read habits and log completions. It cannot create a habit,

or change anything structural: name, goal, repeat, time of day, icon, colour,

    checklist, reminders, end condition, order.

I built a 25 habit system with an AI assistant this week. Every read was

instant through the MCP. Every write went through clicking the web UI, one

dialog at a time, for hours.

With create and update exposed, an assistant could import a spreadsheet, set

the whole thing up, restructure it six months later, and retire what stopped

working. In seconds instead of an afternoon.

No habit tracker does this today. It would be the reason to choose Habitify

    over the alternatives.

      Hi!

Thank you so much for your suggestion to the Habitify MCP. I will definitely highlight this for the team when they have a plan for the next stage of development of Habitify MCP!

    ChatGPT Create

Would it be possible to allow a “create new habit” option for ChatGPT? ChatGPT actually recommended your app to me and I find it useful. The only draw back is that it GPT can’t actually add habits or anything on its own.

    Thank you

    Hi Sharron!

Thank you for the suggestions. It is true that there are a lot of things to do with the Habitify MCP. We soon have plan to update the feature!
