The MCP server can read habits and log completions. It cannot create a habit,
or change anything structural: name, goal, repeat, time of day, icon, colour,
checklist, reminders, end condition, order.
I built a 25 habit system with an AI assistant this week. Every read was
instant through the MCP. Every write went through clicking the web UI, one
dialog at a time, for hours.
With create and update exposed, an assistant could import a spreadsheet, set
the whole thing up, restructure it six months later, and retire what stopped
working. In seconds instead of an afternoon.
No habit tracker does this today. It would be the reason to choose Habitify
over the alternatives.
