Hi Roxanne! Thanks for your feedback.
Currently, we have implemented a wider range of units on the iOS app, and we are following the feedback to improve it more before implementing the unit collection widely on all platforms.
Regarding the ability to edit the unit, there is one thing we would like to note for you. You can change the unit to another one as long as both are in the same category of unit type. For example, you can change from minute to hour since both are duration units, but you cannot change from minute to kilometer. That can ensure a seamless data report on the progress of your habit (you cannot put data in different types of units within the same chart and the same index in a report, right?).
For any questions, please feel free to ask!

Happens on Macbook M1 Max Pro, Apple silicon, Sequoia 15.0.1, Habitify Version 13.2.4 (1668569740) also.

Hi Sagar!
This relates to the logic behind managing the unit of a habit goal.
Your habit initially has no goal, and the app saves the goal as a single instance in the back-end system.
The rule is that you can change the unit to another one within the same category. For example, you can convert “km” to “miles” (both are length units) or “kilograms” to “pounds” (both are mass units). This ensures consistency in tracking progress and presenting that progress in charts and numbers. After all, you cannot represent data in a chart if the measurement units are different, right?
Therefore, if you edit a habit with an initial goal set to “time,” the only available unit for change is “time” itself, as there are no other units in the same category.

Hi @Thư Mihn
Thank you for your prompt response. I appreciate your clarification. However, I want to mention that I did not save the initial unit as "times."
If I had done so, could you please help me understand why it is displaying as
hourshere?I had set the unit to either minutes or hours, though I can’t recall which one it was. However, I am certain that it was not set to
times.Your assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sagar! Thanks for your update.
There is an issue that the goal of your habits are shown on Journal view differently from theirs in Settings > Manage habits.
Could you please try to switch the Journal layout to the one with habit icons, and send me another screenshot?

Sure, @Thư Mihn . Here it is (side by side if it helps). I suspect that the issue arises with future habits, the habits that have yet to be started.

Hey, Sagar! I just got an update from the developer.
It seems that all of your habits are starting tomorrow right? So for today, it is still a habit with no goal. That's the reason why the goal is shown as “Off” and you cannot change its unit.
The work-around here is to wait until tomorrow or re-create a new habit.
Please try it, and let me know if there is any issue.

I appreciate the value of waiting until the scheduled day, as it allows us to explore and adjust other units within the same category. However, I believe we could enhance this experience further.
For example, if I establish a habit starting next week, it would be incredibly helpful to have the flexibility to adjust the units—such as switching from hours to minutes—without having to wait until then.
This brings me to a question: What is the purpose of offering the option to set goals if we are restricted from modifying them until that future date?
I would love to explore the possibility of implementing this improvement. Thank you for considering my suggestion!

Let me explain our current situation and the considerations we're working through.
When you set a habit to start in the future, our system currently treats it as having "no goal" for the current date. While it's technically possible for us to show the future goal in the current date's preview, we need to approach this change thoughtfully due to our app's history.
In earlier versions of Habitify, users could create habits without any specific goals. Although we've evolved and no longer offer this option for new habits, we continue to support our long-time users who still have these "no-goal" habits in their tracking system. This creates an interesting technical challenge: any changes we make to how future goals are displayed must be carefully implemented to avoid affecting these legacy habits.
We truly value your suggestion and are working to find the optimal way to implement this improvement while ensuring a seamless experience for all our users.
My team and I appreciate your understanding for us in this situation!
