Widget: Allow to check in & log progress without opening the app
I feel like the widget opening the app when you choose to log something kinda half defeats the point. It's one step from just being the app icon as it opens anyway.
In previous apps I can manage the ml of water i wanna track in the widget and stay on my homescreen.
Just a bug bear but valid I think.

Totally agree with this! If the widget just opens the app anyway when you try to log something, it really defeats the whole purpose. The main value of a widget is being able to do quick actions right from the home screen without unnecessary navigation.
It would be awesome if we could also start timers directly from the widget without launching the app. Imagine just tapping "25 min focus" or "5 min break" and boom - timer starts running while you stay on whatever screen you were on. This would save tons of time and make the app so much more convenient to use.
Hope the devs listen to this feedback - this kind of functionality would really improve the user experience significantly!

Hi @Rich H !
To have the feature with which you can log progress value directly on the homescreen with the widget, it may require the verification for the permisson for the app to write over other apps. Our team will consider it carefully against the concern for the privacy as well.
About the issue where widget does not update the data, our team recognized the issue and have been working on the solution to it.
We will update once it is fixed on the changelog site!

And from what I can tell, if I create a new habit that happened this morning, then check it off on the app, because it's now the afternoon, (not sure if it would previously show) it doesn't show as a checked off habit in the widget. So I guess that there isn't full list of still due and checked off habits in the widget which would be helpful to see without having to go into the app
