Log Progress: Changing timezone does not change the date & time of past logs
When the device time zone changes, previous logs also change time zone - this means that if they flip over into ‘today’ (new time zone) (even though they were actually logged yesterday (previous time zone)), the app descends into chaos and shows habits for today as complete, and habits from yesterday incomplete…!
On top of this, after changing time zone, the app needs to be quit and restart for it to ‘catch up’.
As an Airline Pilot who is bouncing between time zones all the time, this is really important to me. If I start in London and fly to New York, my ‘day’ is effectively extended and I’d expect the app to ensure that when logging data it attaches it to the device date/time at point of logging and this becomes fixed and doesn’t change when device time zone changes.
EG:
13 September 9am in London - Log medication
13 September 10pm in New York - Log skincare
When I return to London on 14 September, at the moment, the ‘Log skincare’ item would jump forward back into 14 September - because 13/10pm NY was 14/3am UK. I expect it to stay put on 13 September at 10pm, because that’s what it was when I logged it.

This week I traveled between the East Coast and West Coast and noticed that habits I had already completed were showing as incomplete after crossing time zones — both when I arrived and again when I returned home. It seems like Habitify is adjusting habit completion records based on the current time zone rather than archiving them based on the local time at which they were completed.
Habit completions should be recorded based on the local time at the moment of completion, not adjusted retroactively when the device's time zone changes. Crossing a time zone shouldn't undo or obscure habits that were already logged and the recommendation to find a time that overlaps is honestly ridiculous because the selling point of this app with the widgets, NFC option and all of the other super easy ways to log a habit is ease of use. If I am having to cram logging into a specific time window to outsmart a poorly executed decision on Habitify’s part, I think we’ve lost the plot.

Hello!
Thank you for sharing your feedback.
Technically, all date and time data is converted to UTC+0 timezone when saved in our back-end database. Depending on your device's timezone, the date and time will be converted again for display. This ensures the accuracy in date & time of every of your check-in.
When you are the one who often travels through different countries and regions with different timezone, we suggest that you can find the time range within the day when the date of your home country and the destination are the same.
For example, if you live in London and soon travle to New York, then the suggested time range to check-in on your habits is 6AM - 11PM of London Time (1AM - 6PM, New York Time)

Sorry, this makes your app unusable for anyone who travels. I don’t travel to one particular place so your suggestion doesn’t work.
Converting to UTC is a bizarre decision for an app like this - understandably easier to code but it doesn’t work in practice.
So I assume this won’t be changed?
