Suggested Email Sequence for Onboarding & Retention

I’d like to suggest a structured email sequence to help Habitify users stay engaged and build long-term habits:

Onboarding Email #1 — Welcome & Orientation

  • Highlight key features and benefits

  • Encourage users to set their first habit

Onboarding Email #2 — First Habit Completion

  • Congratulate users on completing their first habit

  • Encourage streak formation and reinforce consistency

Retention Email #1 — Week 1 Check-in

  • Remind users of streaks and progress

  • Share tips to avoid early drop-offs

Retention Email #2 — Week 2–3 Engagement Boost

  • Highlight streak milestones and progress badges

  • Encourage exploration of app features for habit-building

  • Premium Upgrade Email — Value Highlight

  • Showcase benefits of premium without being pushy

  • Focus on habit tracking insights and advanced streak features

Goal:

  • Increase trial activation and early engagement

  • Reduce silent churn after week 2–3

  • Encourage premium conversions through strategic, value-driven email sequences

    Hi!

Thank you so much for taking the time to outline such a detailed and structured email sequence! Your suggestions for onboarding and retention are incredibly well-thought-out and align perfectly with the "Achiever" journey we want for our users.

I wanted to share that at Habitify, we are very intentional and careful when it comes to sending content to our users' inboxes. We highly value our community's focus and privacy, so we try to keep email communication to a minimum to avoid cluttering your digital space.

That being said, your insights are extremely helpful as we look for ways to reduce churn and increase early engagement. We have shared this sequence with our marketing and product teams. Rather than implementing everything at once, we will consider your ideas "one email by one email" to ensure that any message we send provides genuine value without being intrusive.

Thank you again for helping us think through how to better support our users in building long-term habits. We truly appreciate having such engaged members in our community!
