Circle: Private and Public Groups in Circle

One thing that could make Circle even more engaging is the option to have both private groups and public groups.

Private groups would be useful for friends who already know each other and want a closed space to share and track together. On the other hand, public groups would allow anyone to join, which would be especially helpful for people who don’t yet have friends on the app.

This way, everyone can still connect, share progress, and participate in circles, making the feature more inclusive and welcoming for all users.

    While we don't have a formal "public/private" toggle just yet, you can actually create this exact experience right now by setting up two different Circles and managing how you share the invitation links.

    Here’s a suggestion you can try today:

    • For your Private Group: Create one Circle and only share the invitation link directly with your close friends. This will keep it a closed, private space for you all to track together.

    • For a Public Group: Create a second Circle and feel free to share that invitation link more widely—for example, on a community forum or social media. This will allow anyone to join and participate.
