Preserve total completion count when changing habit frequency

I would like to suggest an improvement regarding how total completed entries are calculated and displayed when changing a habit's frequency.

My scenario:

  • I have a "Fitness" habit set to 5 times a week.

  • I maintained this consistently for ~5 months and achieved 81 total completed sessions.

  • I now want to adjust my schedule to 4 times a week, keeping the same habit tracking history.

The Issue: When I changed the frequency from 5x to 4x/week, the total completed count automatically recalculated down from 81 to 65. The app basically discarded my extra completed days from the main stats view.

I understand the math behind recalculating goal compliance, but losing visible credit for days I actually worked out is very demotivating. Currently, the only way to see my real total (81) is to open the habit details and set the view to "All Years" β€” once I leave that screen, I only see 65 again. Starting a new habit "Fitness 2" is not a good solution as it breaks long-term continuity.

Feature Request: Please add an option or a metric that always shows the absolute total number of completed instances (raw completion count) alongside the goal-based stats. Changing the goal frequency should never reduce the historical count of actions actually performed.

    Thank you for considering this!
