I was a bit dismayed to find that I had to refer to my iphone version of the app to find the “Get Started with Habitify” guide. There are only 3 ‘resources’ listed on my Safari browser version of the app and none of them refers to ‘help’. Moreover, why isn’t the iPhone app’s detailed documentation, which includes a really helpful infographic series, available on the browser app directly (I had to bookmark the iphone url just so I can access the Habitify “intercom.help” collection of files on Safari, which includes a section specifically on desktop app usage!). Because there are internal links to other webpages within these help files, i find opening multiple tabs on a desktop machine far more user-friendly than flicking between these and the app on a single, mobile device. Also, I visited the iPhone ‘api-docs.habitify.me’ documentation site, expecting to learn more about what API & MCP integrations are, what, if any, benefits these could mean for me, how to use them and so forth. I discovered to my dismay that this “proprietary” documentation site was almost entirely unintelligible and therefore useless as a resource to me. The first two sentences of this Habitify API support URL demonstrate this perfectly: “Welcome to our REST API. Use it to programmatically access your habit tracking data, build integrations, and automate workflows.” What does ‘REST” stand for? What is an API? What relevance does being able to “programmatically access” habit data have for your retail customers aka end-users? The nomenclature, terminology and instructions all assume prior knowledge and understanding. The site apparently assumes a software programming-literate readership. Could we please have a version written expressly for those of us who simply require an effective, easy-to-manage app that helps us build better habits and integrates seamlessly across platforms, other applications, and operating systems?
