Just to add a little context, for apps that are designed to work across different platforms (like this one likely is), integrating a native macOS widget involves a few extra layers. This means the developers would need to build the widget as a distinct, native Mac part and then engineer a solid way for it to 'talk' to the main application to get the streak data.
