Journal: Keep the habits in place regardless of completion, and a button to conveniently add extra progress
Introduce a “Custom Goal Mode” where a habit does not automatically move to the Success section when the goal is reached. Many habits require flexibility—users may want to exceed the target or continue logging actions after completing the set goal. A simple “+1” (increment) and a separate “Done” option allows users to record progress freely without locking the habit into a completed state.

To sum up:
Custom Goal Mode for Growth-Based Habits
Some habits are meant to continue after reaching the weekly target. Currently, Habitify auto-completes them (moves to Success, grays them out, adds strikethrough), which reduces visibility and disrupts momentum. A Custom Goal Mode would keep the habit active until the user manually marks it as “Done,” with flexible logging through a simple +1 button.
Disable Auto-Completion Effects
Growth-based habits should remain fully visible even after the target is reached. This supports progressive habits, aligns with behavioral science, and avoids the problem of habits feeling “finished” too early.
Clarifying Daily vs. Weekly Progress (+1 Ambiguity)
When adding progress later in the day, it’s unclear whether the new +1 belongs to the same day or another day in the week. While timestamps exist, they’re not practical. A clearer way to distinguish same-day vs. different-day progress would make weekly tracking more accurate.

Hello @Ahmad !
I want to make sure I fully understand your idea. Are you suggesting this because you want the ability to continue logging progress (e.g., adding more reps, minutes, or glasses of water) even after a habit has met its daily goal and moved to the "Success/Completed" list?
Currently, once a habit is marked "Completed," it moves out of the main list. Is your goal to keep it active on the main list so you can easily tap a "+1" button to log extra progress throughout the day, without having to dig into menus to add more?
If that’s the core need, we might have a solution or a workaround for you, but I want to confirm first!

Thanks for your reply! Here’s a clearer explanation of the issue and why this feature matters:
My habits fall into two distinct categories:
1. Growth-Based Goals (expandable goals)
These are habits where the weekly target is only a minimum. For example: exercising once or three times a week as an early-stage goal. After reaching the minimum, I still want to keep adding progress throughout the week.
2. Fixed Goals (non-expandable goals)
These are habits where reaching the set target means the habit is fully completed.
Right now, Habitify treats both categories identically.
When a growth-based habit reaches its weekly goal, it automatically:
• moves to the Success section
• turns gray
• gets a strikethrough
• becomes visually inactive
At that point, I can still log progress, but it becomes harder and less intuitive since the habit is removed from the active list.
This behavior interrupts habit-building.
In the early stages of forming a habit, visibility and ease of logging are crucial. Once the habit is visually “completed,” I naturally stop noticing it — even if I want to continue building momentum.
This is why several competitors now allow either:
• manual completion, where the habit stays active until the user decides it’s truly done, or
• disabling the visual “completed” effects for growth-based habits.
This aligns with behavioral science, especially in progressive habits that grow over time.
To be clear:
The request isn’t just about adding a “+1” button.
The core need is the ability to disable auto-completion effects (moving to Success, turning gray, strikethrough) for habits that are meant to grow gradually.
This flexibility would make Habitify much more supportive of real-world habit development while preserving the current behavior for users who prefer it.

Additional Point: Clarifying Daily vs. Weekly Progress (+1 Ambiguity)
There’s another challenge related to growth-based habits: when I complete today’s habit and press +1, then come back later in the day to add more progress, I can’t tell whether the new +1 is being counted for the same day or for a different day within the week.
Technically, the log screen shows timestamps, but relying on that is not practical during daily tracking.
This becomes especially confusing for weekly-target habits, because progress entries blend together without a clear indication of which ones belong to which day.
A smoother, more intuitive way of distinguishing same-day additions from different-day ones would solve this and make weekly goals far more accurate.

Thank you for your detailed sharing @Ahmad ! So, as I understand it, there are two main concerns:
Keep the habit listed in the habit list regardless of current progress, until the user marks it as completed, skipped, or failed.
Add an indicator in the habit list showing the last update time for the weekly habit.
