Problem
I use Areas to organize different types of activities in Habitify. Some Areas contain true daily habits that I actively track while other Areas are used more like collections or libraries.
For example, I have an Area called My Library that contains books I want to read. These are not daily habits but optional tasks and are not intended to appear alongside my active habit tracking.
Currently, every habit from every Area appears in the All Habits view. This creates unnecessary clutter and makes it harder to focus on the habits I actually want to complete each day.
Requested Feature
Allow users to mark an Area as Hidden from All Habits.
When enabled:
Habits within that Area would not appear in the All Habits view.
The Area would remain fully accessible from the Areas section.
Users could still view, edit and complete habits within the hidden Area.
Statistics and tracking would continue to work normally.
Example Use Cases
Reading libraries
Bucket lists
Someday/Maybe goals
Reference collections
Archived habits
Optional activities that should not appear in daily tracking
Benefits
Reduces clutter in the All Habits view.
Makes daily habit tracking more focused.
Allows Areas to serve multiple organizational purposes beyond active habits.
Provides greater flexibility without affecting existing workflows.
A simple toggle such as “Hide habits from this Area in All Habits” would solve this issue while maintaining backward compatibility for existing users.
