Repeat interval: Habit persistence if not completed

I'd like incomplete habits to persist once they’re triggered until they’re completed, and THEN return however many days I set thereafter. Problem is, presently if I miss completing a habit today, it disappears tomorrow and doesn't return for however many days.

    Hi @Stroblaizer !

Thank you for sharing your feedback!

Habitify is designed around the principle that offers structured scheduling options. It removes decision fatigue - you'll know exactly when you need to complete your habit. If you find yourself wanting to do the habit on "off days," consider this a bonus rather than replacing your scheduled days. When habits follow irregular patterns, they're much harder to maintain long-term.

In your use case of tracking the habit, we still recommend you to create a daily habit. On the day you do not plan to do it, you can mark it as skip. And, you still get to see it on the next day.

    Hi!

    Thank you for sharing.

However, Habitify is designed around the principle of consistency, which is why we offer structured scheduling options. When habits follow irregular patterns, they're much harder to maintain long-term.

For your specific need, I'd recommend setting your habit with a clear 'Every 2 days' schedule in Habitify. This creates a predictable pattern that your brain can anticipate and eventually automate.

The beauty of consistency is that it removes decision fatigue - you'll know exactly when you need to complete your habit. If you find yourself wanting to do the habit on "off days," consider this a bonus rather than replacing your scheduled days.

Would you like some tips on how to make this every-other-day schedule work better for your specific habit? Consistency might feel rigid at first, but it's actually the fastest path to making your habit feel effortless and natural!
