Progress: Habit Grading System and Log Progress

Hello Team,

I am sharing something with you guys which will help in making the application better and more user-friendly.

First, I want to say that the progress reporting of this app seems average to me.

Let me illustrate this with an example. Let's say I decided to meditate for 10 minutes every day. But I could only do 8 minutes. In such a situation, most Habit apps see it as a completely unsuccessful habit and do not calculate and record any kind of habitual strength. Habitify does the same. I used an app called Habithub a few years ago that considered every performance. I am sharing the screenshots so that you can understand how Habithub used to analyze the progress. There are also many ways to know habit strength e.g. Yearly, Monthly, Weekly and so on.

Another problem is that editing log progress is very complicated. If I accidentally recorded an incorrect log progress, I don't feel comfortable going through so much trouble to fix it. This is a very basic feature and it must be available in a single click. Please don't try to convince me with existing system of correcting log progress. Almost all habit apps have better way to correct the wrongly recorded logs.

Thanks.

    Hello @awish !

Thank you for sharing your feedback on how Habitify treats your partial complete on your habit with us. It provides us a considerable insight in details.

For me, I do understand the painpoint here when your effort does not recognized correctly. But I just want to ensure you that all of your progress on your habit is recorded well in Habitify. However, since it is not represented with a completion rate, you might find it hard to see.

For every progress log you enter into the app:

    • It is recorded in the Calendar view of the Single progress view of each habit. Even when you do not accomplish the goal, it is still showing the progress circle.

    • Also in the Single progress view, you can see a trend chart of your achievement on your habit, through days, weeks, months, or years. There is an AVG value index for each view.

    • Additionally, in the Progress tab, every progress log can affect the overall completion rate on all habits of your.

Moreover, we just want to let you know that, if your habit has an End Condition, then in the Single Progress view, you can see a progress bar which can represent your accomplishment even more closely.

Still, we sincerely appreaciate your sharing, and will save it for the team, especially the Product team. If you have any other suggestions, about this feature or any thing else, please feel free to share with us. The Habitify team is always open to the feedback!

Thanks for your answer. Basically, I'm talking about a score like “habit strength or similar things” calculated in taking consideration of each and every effort. It defines the strength of your habit in a precise number. It would be more helpful if it were displayed on the main page alongside the habits. A habit strength score for each habit and an overall score for all habits.

And please do something for log progress. It is really unsatisfactory. I am curious who gave such a complex idea to correct recorded log progress. This is a basic feature and implemented beautifully in almost all habit apps except habitify. Please do something about it.
