Data Privacy: Disable AI Processing

I have noticed over the past year or so that I get custom personalised reminders for custom named tasks. These personalised reminders are generated by AI on Habitify servers that process our task details.

It should be strongly considered to add an option to not have our details processed by any form of AI without our permission. I never agreed to have my data processed by any AI when I signed up to Habitify and it’s quite disturbing to think people’s private life data is being processed on servers with an AI model.

There should additionally be an option to disable these personalised notifications, they are simply annoying and not effective.

    Option to turn off AI please

    I don’t want AI analysis. Please provide a feature to turn it off. It’s actually in the way

    This sharing about AI implementation in Habitify give me and my team the insights when thinking of user experience.

    To give a bit of context, our intention with using AI here was really just an effort to keep reminders fresh and engaging. We didn't want notifications to become the exact same static, repetitive lines every day until they feel boring and lose their motivating spark. That said, I want to reassure you that your habit logs are kept strictly within Habitify's secure infrastructure. We never expose, sell, or share your habit details with external AI models to train them.

    You're also completely right about the settings. Currently, Habitify doesn't have a way to turn off just the AI wording while keeping your regular habit reminders running.

    I've already brought your feedback directly to our product team so we can address this. We are actively looking into adding a clear toggle to opt out of dynamic copy, as well as providing standard, static reminder options for everyone who prefers straightforward alerts.

      Are there any plans to disable the additional notifications? I’ve uninstalled the app numerous times because of how annoying they are.

        The notification that reminds you of your current streak, you mean? Currently we do not add any switch to control it in the app, since it is more like our effort to keep engaged with users and help users to engage with habits.

        Still, I have noted this request for the team for further consideration!

          That notification and every other notification that is not my habit reminder I have set with a dedicated time. I have around 20 daily habits and I absolutely cannot stand the additional notifications I get because I only need to be reminded when I have my times set.

          I also hate that all of my habits have been consumed by your AI without my consent and there is still no way to disable this and the annoying AI generated notification messages it sends me.

          A habits app should be simple and your constant addition of more useless notifications only makes me want to ignore the app notifications.

          If these notifications and the AI can’t be disabled in future please let me know so I can find a new app, thanks.
