Goal: New Habit Type — "Count × Duration"

Hello Habitify Team!

First of all, thank you for a fantastic app! I truly appreciate its clarity and flexibility for building habits.

I'd like to propose an idea for a new habit type that I believe would be a powerful addition to the existing ones.

CURRENT SYSTEM:

· Count-based habits: e.g., "3 sets of push-ups." Goal: Complete N times.

· Time-based habits: e.g., "15 minutes of reading." Goal: Accumulate M minutes.

PROPOSAL:

· A "Count × Duration" (or "Sessions") habit type: The goal is to perform the habit a specific number of times and devote a set duration to each of those sessions.

Use cases where this is highly valuable:

1. Yoga/Stretching: "Practice yoga 2 times a day for 20 minutes each." Both the two separate sessions and their minimum duration are important.

2. Interval Training: "Complete 4 running intervals of 5 minutes each." Tracks both the number of intervals and their length.

3. Deep Work Sessions (Pomodoro): "Complete 3 focus sessions of 25 minutes each." Counting sessions helps fight procrastination throughout the day.

4. Mindfulness/Meditation: "Meditate 2 times a day for 10 minutes each." The count helps establish the ritual in the daily routine, the duration ensures depth.

How it could work in the UI:

· When creating a habit, a third goal type appears: "Repeat [N] times for [M] minutes each."

· In the daily view, this habit would display two progress indicators:

· Sessions: 1/3 (e.g., logged one out of three planned).

· Duration: 15/20 minutes (e.g., spent 15 out of the required 20 minutes in the first session so far).

· A timer/stopwatch is integrated directly into the habit card for the day. Press "Start" — the timer begins for the current session. Upon reaching the target duration, the session is automatically counted towards the "count" goal (or prompts for completion confirmation).

Benefits:

· Greater precision for complex habits where both consistency and immersion matter.

· Increased motivation from seeing progress on two fronts simultaneously.

· Versatility — it would cover numerous scenarios that currently require splitting into two separate habits or manual mental tracking.

This habit type would be a true "killer feature" for me (and, I suspect, for many users leading active or mindful lifestyles).

Thank you for considering this idea! I'm happy to discuss the details further.
