I’d like to suggest a feature that could significantly improve user engagement and habit retention: per-habit achievement milestones (mini rewards system).
Right now, Habitify does a great job tracking consistency, but adding small, visible milestones for each individual habit could make the experience much more motivating.
The idea is simple: each habit would have its own progression milestones based on streak length. For example:
• 3 days — “Getting Started”
• 7 days — “First Week”
• 14 days — “Building Momentum”
• 30 days — “Solid Routine”
• 60 / 90 days — “Lifestyle Level”
These achievements could be lightweight and non-intrusive, but still rewarding:
• Small visual badges attached to each habit
• Subtle animations or feedback when a milestone is reached
• A timeline or history of unlocked achievements per habit
Why this matters:
• It reinforces progress in short-term intervals, not just long streaks
• Helps users stay motivated during the early fragile phase (first 1–2 weeks)
• Turns habits into a more game-like, engaging experience without overcomplicating the UI
• Gives users a sense of “completion” even before reaching big milestones like 30+ days
A useful extension could be:
• Allowing users to customize milestone intervals
• Optional notifications when close to the next achievement
• A simple “achievement history” view to reflect progress over time
This kind of system is common in behavioral design and gamification, and it works particularly well for habit-building apps where consistency is key.
Curious if this is something already considered on the roadmap, or if other users would find it valuable.
